The IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) course provides an overview of the skills necessary to process water damage restoration. It is ideal for professional and in house staff, adjusters, managers, and supervisors. The course is taught with a combination of lecture, video, PowerPoint, and we will actually walk you step by step through Psychrometry readings and how to use them from an actual job.

  • What are the three categories of water?
  • The four classes of a loss and how to use them to determine the proper size, type and amount of equipment needed.
  • Three conditions that describe the amount of microbial activity.
  • Extraction tools and options.
  • Surface and Subsurface drying techniques.
  • Psychrometry-Why it is important and how to use it to monitor your drying process.
  • When and how to save a cushion, and much, much more!


This class is very comprehensive and will require homework.

Registration includes water, coffee, light snacks and lunch provided each day.

IICRC Exam Fees: The WRT certification exam fee is $80. These fees are in addition to the course registration fee, and are paid directly to IICRC. Please be sure attendees have the proper fees available when attending classes. You or your technician must provide your own form of payment and register for your exam on the IICRC website. Register for the exam as soon as you can so you can take it as soon as you have completed class. Sometimes there is up to a week's wait time with the IICRC, so we suggest you register for the exam right away.
